Immediate Care Medical Walk-In Management is pleased to announce Dr. Calixto (Cal) Garcia, D.O., FACOEP as its new Chief Medical Officer. As the newest member of Immediate Care’s provider team, Dr. Garcia will be overseeing the clinical operations of all urgent care locations to ensure that patients receive the best quality care possible. Dr. Garcia will also lead the hiring, evaluating and training of the facilities providers.

“Dr. Garcia is a great addition to the Immediate Care team,” said Sal Cannizzaro, CEO of Immediate Care Medical Walk-In Management. “Our facilities and providers will really benefit from all the knowledge and experience he is bringing with him.”

Dr. Garcia received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and his Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he was the chief resident of emergency medicine. Dr. Garcia was also a field surgeon for over ten years in the United States Army Reserve and holds professional memberships to the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and New Jersey Advisory Council on Traumatic Brain Injury.
