Eatontown, NJ – On Tuesday, December 18th, Immediate Care Walk-In Management participated in Holiday Express’s fundraiser at The Harbor School located in Eatontown, NJ. During the fundraiser Immediate Care Walk-In Management met with the teachers, students and volunteers that make this wonderful event possible. Our Immediate Care team jumped right in and danced with the students to the music played by the Holiday Express band. This event even featured the famous song “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” performed by no other than Dr. Elmo himself.

CEO Sal Cannizzaro was delighted to see the children’s faces light up when the music started.

“It really takes extraordinary type of people to make something like this happen,” said Sal Cannizzaro. “Immediate Care is so grateful to be able to be a part of this foundation”

After the performance was complete, the volunteers for Holiday Express presented the students with an iPad donated by Immediate Care.

The Holiday Express, founded in 1993, by Tim McLoone, believes no one should be alone at the holidays. Their program uses the healing power of music and friendship to improve the quality of life for those often forgotten.

For the children at the Harbor School this day is something they look forward to all year. The Harbor School serves children from ages 5 to 21 with various classifications which including auditory impaired, autistic, communication impaired, cognitively impaired, multiply disabled, other health impaired, specific learning disability and traumatic brain injury.

Each of our Immediate Care locations also participated in Holiday Express’ donation drive where we collected items such as a soap, wash cloths, and toothbrushes for the foundation. The communities surrounding our centers came together to donate these which greatly helped to make an impact. This was the first year Immediate Care was a part of Holiday Express and we are excited to continue this partnership for years to come.
